The concept of "Low Impact Design" (LID) offers an almost immediate cost-effective, environmentally friendly solution. Unlike the previous approach of ponds and drainage systems, the LID approach offers a decentralized, sustainable method of conserving and protecting water.
Florida's
1st Green Main Street
The LID process is gaining in acceptance and utilization, and with the implementation of the LID methods, and the collaboration of the CRA, OEVA and OEVHA, Dearborn Street can become the First Green Main Street in Florida.
